豊富なラインナップで根強い人気のフェンダージャパンMustang。
本機は「MG65」、2006-08年頃に製造された個体です。
24インチのショートスケールネックと小ぶりなボディサイズを採用し、体の小さい方にも演奏しやすいのが特長です。
コンター加工のないスラブ・ボディにはポプラ材を採用。
プラスチック・ボタンのシャーラー製Fキーペグ、ヘッドデカールなど、1965年頃の仕様を忠実に再現しています。
各ピックアップごとにスイッチが用意され、ミックス時に「フェイズアウト」サウンドを出力できるユニークな回路と、軽やかなアクションでダイナミックにかかるトレモロユニットもムスタングならではの装備です。
ピックアップはメーカー不明のものに交換されています(ミックス時ハムノイズはキャンセルされません)。
その他ピックガード、ピックアップカバー、スイッチ、配線材一部、アームが交換されています。
本来はべっ甲柄ピックガードにホワイトカラーのプラスチックパーツの組み合わせですが、ホワイトピックガードにブラックカラーのプラスチックパーツに変更されており、クールなルックスに仕上がっています。
外観はスリキズや打痕、パーツのくすみや色焼け、ペグボタンのひび補修痕など、年代相応の使用感がございます。
フレットは8割程度の残り、ネック＆トラスロッドのコンディションは良好です。

The Fender Japan Mustang enjoys enduring popularity thanks to its extensive lineup.
This particular instrument is an "MG65" model, manufactured around 2006–2008.
It features a 24-inch short-scale neck and a compact body, making it easy to play for those with smaller builds.
The slab body—which lacks body contours—is crafted from poplar.
It faithfully reproduces specifications from around 1965, including Schaller "F-Key" tuners with plastic buttons and the headstock decal.
The Mustang also features unique circuitry with dedicated switches for each pickup—allowing for "out-of-phase" sounds when mixed—as well as a tremolo unit that responds dynamically with a smooth, light action.
The pickups have been replaced with units of unknown manufacture (hum noise is not cancelled in the mixed position).
Other replaced parts include the pickguard, pickup covers, switch, some wiring, and the tremolo arm.
While the original configuration features a tortoiseshell-patterned pickguard with white plastic parts, this instrument has been modified with a white pickguard and black plastic parts, resulting in a cool look.
Cosmetically, the instrument shows signs of use consistent with its age, including surface scratches, dings, dulling and discoloration of parts, and a repaired crack on a tuning peg button.
Approximately 80% of the fret life remains, and the condition of the neck and truss rod is excellent.
