1962年に当時の最上位機種としてデビューしたジャガーは、Jazzmasterと同じ大ぶりのボディシェイプに24"ショートスケールのネック、ネックピックアップのボリューム＆トーンコントロールをもう一つストックできる「プリセット・コントロール」、ヨーク付きのクリアな音色が特徴のシングルコイル・ピックアップ、「ローカット・スイッチ」、滑らかなアクションの「フローティング・トレモロ」ユニットを装備し、他のモデルとは異なる演奏性とサウンドを持っています。
この時期の日本製モデルは、本格的なアルダーボディを採用している点が魅力です。
こちらの個体はブリッジをチューンマチック・タイプのものに交換しており、ジャガー/ジャズマスターにありがちな弦落ちやブリッジの緩みに強い仕様となっており、アーミングよりピッキング重視の方におすすめです。
年代相応のスリキズや打痕などの使用感がございます。
当店入荷時フレットすり合わせを施工し、音詰まりなく良好な演奏性に調整済みです。
現状のフレットは8割程度の残り、ネック＆トラスロッドのコンディション良好です。

Made-in-Japan Fender products are prized for their consistent quality and extensive lineup. The "Jaguar" is a distinctive model characterized by its offset (asymmetrical) body design; this particular unit was manufactured in 2016.
Debuting in 1962 as the top-of-the-line model at the time, the Jaguar features the same large body shape as the Jazzmaster but pairs it with a 24-inch short-scale neck. It is equipped with unique features that set it apart from other models in terms of playability and sound, including "preset controls" that allow for a separate set of volume and tone settings for the neck pickup, single-coil pickups with yokes that deliver a clear tone, a "low-cut switch," and a smooth-action "floating tremolo" unit.
A key appeal of Japanese-made models from this era is their use of genuine alder bodies.
This particular instrument features a replacement Tune-o-matic style bridge, offering greater stability against the string slippage and bridge looseness often associated with Jaguar and Jazzmaster models; it is recommended for players who prioritize picking over heavy tremolo arm use.
