今日では一般的な"エレクトリック・スパニッシュ・ギター"(抱えて弾くタイプのギター)よりも古い歴史を持つ、フェンダーの"エレクトリック・スティール・ギター"。

こちらは6弦、脚付きのラップ・スティール・モデル。1959年製個体です。



ハワイアン、カントリー、ブルースなどで親しまれているスティールギターの中でも最もシンプルなスタイルで、脚を付けずに膝の上に乗せて弾くこともできる小型・軽量サイズです。



木材はアルダーと思われ、CTS製'58＆’59年製ポット、ASTRON製コンデンサ、ブラックボビンのシングルコイル・ピックアップは当時の状態を保っており、同年代のMusicmaster / Duo-Sonicと同じ"デザート・サンド"カラーでフィニッシュされています。



経年による塗装の傷みやロゴ欠け、プレートのサビやメッキ剥げがございますが、ペグのアクションは問題なく、オリジナル度が高く比較的良好なコンディションを維持しています。



オリジナル・ツイードケースは損傷が多く、外装の傷み、内部仕切りの破損がございます。



フェンダーの、そしてエレキギターの歴史を彩る、大変貴重な'50sヴィンテージ・ピースです。

The Fender "Electric Steel Guitar" has a longer history than the "Electric Spanish Guitar" (a type of guitar played while holding it), which is common today.



This is a 6-string, leg-mounted lap steel model, manufactured in 1959.



Among steel guitars popular in Hawaiian, country, and blues music, this is the simplest style, and its small, lightweight size allows it to be played on the lap without the leg.



The wood appears to be alder, and the CTS '58 & '59 potentiometers, ASTRON capacitors, and black bobbin single-coil pickups are all in their original condition. It's finished in the same "Desert Sand" color as the Musicmaster/Duo-Sonic of the same era.



While there is some paint wear, logo chipping, rust and plating peeling due to age, the tuning pegs function correctly, and the guitar maintains a high degree of originality and is in relatively good condition.



The original tweed case is heavily damaged, with wear on the exterior and broken internal dividers.



This is an extremely rare '50s vintage piece that graces the history of Fender and electric guitars.
