The SG Standard is a classic model that has remained popular since 1992, with no major specification changes since then.
This unit was manufactured in 2004.
The wood materials are a combination of a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
The neck has a "rounded profile" that's not too thin and has just the right thickness. Playability is excellent.
The pickups are "490R/498T."
They output a manageable tone with just the right amount of power that makes you think, "This is a true SG."
The exterior shows signs of wear appropriate for its age, with scratches and dents, cracks and chips in the paint, dullness and rust on parts, etc.
There are also cracks on the truss rod cover and back panel, and a chipped control knob.
The truss rod works without any problems.
The frets are in ready-to-play condition, with about 80% remaining fret life.
