kgrharmony しずく 【岩手県・伝統工芸品「南部鉄器」製】



「kgr harmony (ケージーアール ハーモニー)」は、アーティストの感性を刺激する楽器、個性的なプロダクツを製造・販売するエフェクターブランドです。

ラインナップの中でも一際異彩を放つのが、こちらの「南部鉄器」エフェクターシリーズ。岩手県の伝統工芸品を筐体に用い、歴史ある工房にて鋳造されています。多くのエフェクターに使用されるアルミの筐体と比較し、外観はもちろんのこと、しっかりと音楽的な要素も加味しております。ピッキングに対する反応や音圧感で、日本の伝統が持つエネルギーを体感出来るでしょう。



こちらの「しずく」は、同シリーズの「あられ」のブースト機能に焦点を当て、再設計したブースター兼オーバードライブ。水面に落ちる一粒のしずくが波紋を広げていくように、心地よく伸びる音色を作りあげる、2コントロールのシンプルなペダルです。



ゲインを下げた状態でボリュームを上げていくと、レンジをスポイルすることなく音色に艶とハリが加えられます。ゲインは上げていくにつれて徐々に中域が強調され、サチュレーション感を持ち始めます。最大では鋭いクランチサウンドが作れます。



筐体のサイズ感もやや横幅があり、小さいながらも安定感があります。南部鉄器の特徴を最大限に活かしたワイドなレンジ感に質量のあるサウンド、弾き手の感情もブーストしてくれるようです。「しずく」という名前がぴったりの、繊細で面白い一台。

KGR Harmony is a boutique pedal brand devoted to crafting unique, artistically inspiring effects pedals. Among their distinctive lineup, the "Nambu Tekki" series stands out with enclosures cast from traditional Japanese ironware, forged in historical foundries in Iwate Prefecture, Japan.



Unlike the common aluminum enclosures seen in most pedals, the Shizuku features a housing made from Nambu Tekki, a nationally recognized traditional craft. The result isn’t just visual—this construction offers a sonically rich, highly responsive tone that reflects the weight and energy of Japanese heritage. You can feel it in the dynamic pick response, tonal presence, and musical character.



The Shizuku is a redesigned booster/overdrive that builds on the boost section of KGR Harmony’s Arare model. Like a single droplet causing ripples across a still water surface, this pedal delivers a clean, expressive tone that expands beautifully with your playing. It features a minimal 2-knob layout for intuitive control.



With Gain set low and Volume increased, it enhances your tone with added clarity and sparkle without narrowing the frequency range. Turning up the Gain gradually introduces a tasteful midrange focus and saturation. At maximum settings, it delivers a sharp, punchy crunch.



The pedal has a slightly wider footprint than most compact pedals, giving it surprising stability on the board. Thanks to the dense Nambu iron, it offers a rich, wide-range sound that truly boosts not only your signal but also your playing emotion. "Shizuku" (meaning "droplet") is a fitting name for this delicate yet impactful creation.
